Ishav Kour
Ishavneet was born and raised in Rajasthan India.
Her nick name is Ishav. In 2021 after high school, Ishav moved to Canada and completed a 2 year Early Childhood Education diploma at Canadore College in Toronto Ontario.
After graduation Ishav was employed as a registered early childhood educator at a Montessori school. In 2024 Ishav moved to beautiful Victoria BC to take on a position as an Infant Toddler Educator at View Royal Childcare. While working full-time Monday to Friday this amazing young lady also spent 6 months working weekends as an ECE!
In early 2026, eager to learn more and grow in her practice as an educator, Ishav accepted a position as Infant Toddler Educator at Leap Forward Childcare. Being naturally adventurous and energetic, Ishav was drawn to the centre’s learn through play philosophy and its diverse busy program.
Ishav loves to engage with the children through art, sensory, circle time, reading, music, outside adventures and dancing. Ishav says she feels a bit like Peter Pan at times. She doesn’t want to fully “grow up” because she loves the child’s world. The children’s curiosity and imagination always surprise Ishav. Watching them experience life brings Ishav back to her own childhood. As if she is experiencing and enjoying a blissful childhood all over again.
Caring for little ones who at first may have no words and then later learn to talk and say the names of their teachers and friends, express their desires, thoughts and emotions is very fulfilling for Ishav. Spending time with children leaves Ishav feeling happy and refreshed, even after a long hard day at work!
Ishav is kind, gentle, and enjoys having fun and being silly with the children, and her co-workers too! The children, their families and her co-workers quickly learn to trust Ishav because she genuinely wants to be with them.
In her spare time Ishav enjoys her long-term babysitting position caring for two young children while their mothers works weekends. Ishav LOVES these two children, and they have become like family to her. Ishav also enjoys spending time with her best friend whom she lives with and long phone conversations with her oldest friend who still lives in Ontario. Maybe she will move to Victoria one day!
Ishav likes doing braids, watching k-dramas, c-dramas and playing with her landlords 10-month-old cute sweet adorable baby. Ishav says she was always destined to be an educator. While Ishav is thoroughly enjoying her time as an educator and still has soooo much to learn, she does have other future goals. Ishav is interested in potentially pursuing healthcare or may work towards becoming a daycare licensing officer with VIHA. When Ishav was a child she wanted to be a doctor. Currently Ishav is too happy as a daycare teacher to think of doing anything else. At least for now.
