Diana Pauze

DianaDiana grew up in the fields of the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada when she was 6. She has always loved the outdoors. When she was a child, she would run off into the meadows with her neighbors daily cows and sit under the big trees to help calm her mind. As she got older, she discovered an unsurprising passion for gardening and the outdoors. She went to Old’s college, where she took a landscape gardening 4-year course and then opened her own landscaping business called Inspired Plantings in Toronto. She also began running nature workshops at her son’s Montessori, which she loved.

Diana has a similarly outdoorsy husband and 2 not-so-outdoorsy children, one of whom is our very own teacher Hana. When her husband got offered a posting to Victoria, BC, Diana decided to pursue a little bit more stable career and settled into nursing, which she has semi-retired from. With all her extra free time, Diana decided to go back to running those nature workshops that she loves.

In her free time, Diana is an artist, mostly a painter, but she’s recently branched into photography. She and her husband always have some kind of home improvement project in the works; him being an excellent woodworker, and her being a painter, which means they make a great team. She is just as invested in adding experience to life as her daughter is, and we are thrilled to have her bring that diversity to our centers!
