Shawna Ciocia

Shwana Ciocia is a VERY unique individual! While raising her two children (both young adults now) she farmed and ranched in Saskatchewan. She then spent the following years as a power and figure skating coach, a heath care assistant and an early childhood educator.

In 2024 Shawna moved to beautiful Victoria BC, taking on a full-time position as an educator at a licensed group daycare. She was the lead educator in a large Three to Five Program, facilitating fun and exciting daily activities and outside adventures.

While seeking a position closer to home, within her Langford community, she came across Leap Forward Childcare. The center’s focus on dance, music, art, outdoor exploration and its small intimate setting aligned well with Shawna’s desire to both be creative and active and build strong relationships with her co-workers, the children she cares for and their families.

Shawna is easy to connect with. Young children are immediately drawn to her warm welcoming smile and friendly disposition. Parents find her flexible and accommodating, always ready to help. She is most certainly a giver at heart.

Shawna loves the outdoors, hiking, animals and gardening. Some of her hobbies include sports, coaching, photography, nutrition and natural healing modalities.
