Parneet Brar
Parneet Brar was born and raised in India. For as long as he can remember, Parneet wanted to work with children and become a teacher. After graduating from high school, he decided to leave his beloved home country and travel abroad. In 2023 he arrived in Canada where he studied as an international student.
Living with his sister and a few friends in Port Alberni, Parneet completed a two-year diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education with a specialization in Infant Toddler Care at North Island College.
While he enjoyed many things about the small town of Port Alberni, wanting to experience Canadian life in a bigger city, Parneet moved to Victoria BC with his sister. After visiting Leap Forward Childcare he knew right away that this was the place he wanted to become his home away from home, an opportunity to grow as an educator, contribute and have fun!
While there are countless things that Parneet enjoys as an early childhood educator, he absolutely LOVES facilitating art and sensory activities, engaging with the children in dramatic play, reading stories, and listening to the children share their thoughts, opinions and feelings. Parneet is sensitive and considerate with a bit of a silly sense of humour. He has a quiet confidence and a calming demeanour.
Parneet is a huge animal lover and has a dog names Jimmy who lives in India with his family. Parneet also loves nature. He says seeing the mountains and trees in Canada every day brings him peace and reminds him of his time spent with his grandfather, gardening and admiring the beauty of the nearby fields in India.
Parneet feels privileged to have the opportunity to share his knowledge and learn more as an early childhood educator and looks forward to the exciting journey ahead, alongside the staff, children and families of Leap Forward Childcare. .
