Ami Gil Papasi

Ami Gil Papasi was born and raised in the Philippines. She is blessed with a beautiful 3-year-old daughter and a loving husband. Her goal is to make a difference in the lives of young children by providing the very best care a child can receive.

Ami earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Public Administration, majoring in Public Service, in the Philippines. She then worked as a Social Worker in a government office. However, this did not fulfill her true passion and desire to work with young children. So, when she moved to Canada, she studied Early Childhood Education at Seneca Polytechnic in Toronto, Ontario. While obtaining her Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Ami worked as an Early Childhood Assistant, gaining hands on experience, applying what she was learning to real life situations.

Later she moved to Victoria BC. Loving her job as an educator but finding the long commute challenging, she sought new employment. Leap Forward Childcare is now Ami’s “home away from home”. Living mere steps away, she can quite literally roll out of bed into work!

Ami is all about adventure and cozy vibes! She loves cooking up delicious meals, hitting the road for long drives, camping under the stars, traveling to new places, and exploring different parks. When she is not diving into a good romance novel, you’ll find her crafting coffee creations as a part-time barista! She is also incredibly creative and loves doing DIY projects!

Fun facts about Ami. Her friends call her “Agiel”. She has three awesome siblings, and they all share the same second name—Gil—which stands for 'God Is Love'.
