Emma Zhang

Emma was born and raised in China. Growing up, Emma desperately wanted a baby sister or brother but as the youngest in the family, her wish never did come true. As a teenager she dreamed of the day she would be able to care for and nurture young minds. Emma’s number one passion for as long as she can remember, has always been children.

Emma came to Canada as an international student in 2018. After graduating from high school, Emma began the path that would lead her to becoming a certified early childhood educator. After completing her ECE education, Emma worked in various daycare centres in both Vancouver and Victoria. She is drawn to centres that support a learn through play philosophy, offering gentle guidance along the way. When she found Leap Forward Childcare, she knew she was home!

An artist at heart, Emma enjoys painting and making crafts with and for the children in her care. She LOVES connecting and conversing with children and watching them grow into the unique individuals they are. She fully understands and embraces the significant role she plays in the lives of the children she cares for.

Emma finds great fulfillment in helping children, their families and her co-workers. Everyone who knows Emma says that she is kind, gentle, genuine, friendly, hardworking and responsible. Each child, guardian and co-worker who crosses paths with this amazing educator is blessed.

Emma is a HUGE animal lover! When She is not working, she can be found exploring nature and hiking with her friends, taking walks by the beach and looking at the sunset, which leaves her with a great sense of peaceful and joy. Emma is delighted to be part of the Leap Forward Childcare family!
