Ruth Stratton

RuthRuth Stratton grew up in a small town on the Island called Gold River. She enjoyed participating in many outdoor activities such as kayaking, camping, hiking, and rock climbing. She has a love for the outdoors and has gained so much knowledge from being exposed to it.

Ruth is a licenced Early Childhood Educator. She perused this career right after her high school graduation. She enjoyed her experience in a strictly outdoor daycare program during one of her practicums. There were no typical daycare “materials” such as toys and games, just one’s imagination. Ruth appreciates the opportunity to share what she learned from this experience with the children and educators of Leap Forward Childcare.

Ruth has a passion for making felt board stories and other crafts for/with the children. She finds that her felt board stories and handmade crafts encourages the children to participate enthusiastically and engage in circle time and during free play with their friends.

Ruth is openminded, flexible and accommodating and loves to nurture and educate the children she works with. She attained her ECE in 2019. As a “newer” ECE, Ruth is excited to continue to share and learn while working with the faculty, parents and most importantly, the children of Leap Forward Childcare.
